It’s strange how certain things can affect your life, and the direction it takes. Three years ago, I jetted off to the Big Apple aka New York City for an awesome photography workshop. It was made possible by my good friend Padma, who offered her place to stay whilst I was there. We’d met through a New York Rangers group on facebook. See I’m a big ice hockey fan and talk to a few people from this group regularly. I’ve made some great friends through it, never would I have thought it would contribute to the success of my career though!
Fast forward to 2019 and the same group is responsible for Molly & Trevor’s adventures in Iceland. I’d started talking to Molly’s mum, Allie, a couple of years back and I remember her saying that when the time came, she’d be booking me for her daughter’s wedding. Honestly, I didn’t expect to be taking her up on it until earlier this year it was sealed into my diary. “What the f**k!?” I thought. I’ve dreamt of going to Iceland for a long time, and it’s now a reality!
Meeting Molly & Trevor was nothing short of an amazing experience and to couple it with one of the most scenic countries in the world; it’s safe to say my brief but awesome time in Iceland will be firmly burned into my memory for years to come.
From the second I arrived; Molly, Trevor & I clicked and it was as if I’d known them for years. We talked about politics, food, and shared life experiences. We went for food on the first day (to my surprise Iceland is FULL of vegan suitable restaurants & cafe’s) and a short stroll around Reykavik. It’s such a beautiful place; I love the fact that they shout about their Viking heritage.
The rest, well I’ll let you soak in the pictures from our adventure.
Thank you Allie, Molly & Trevor for being the most amazing people. Thank you for looking after me.
