So back to Durham Castle it is for Francesca and Niall's fantastic day after shooting their engagement shoot here back in May. I'd been excited about this wedding since the day Francesca and Niall booked me. That was August last year. I love Durham. I love Durham Castle... I love being a Durham Wedding Photographer because it means I get to photograph beautiful weddings in such stunning venues.

So after the bridal preparations, it was on to the ceremony. What an amazing venue, both outside and in. The priest made it a joy to shoot in, giving me free reign to shoot where I want. Some priests can be quite strict and limit you to one vantage point, some may not allow the ceremony to be captured at all, so it's worth checking with your registrar/priest what their rules are, and letting your photographer know as soon as possible.

From there it was on to Durham Castle. There is an aura of class that fills the court yard and the building. Standing in the dining hall, you fill with awe at how amazing the castle is!

Top that with Francesca and Niall's faultless planning and you get the perfect venue for an August Wedding. They really made the castle their own with lovely decor and personal touches.
